Nanotechnology Day at Los Porches del Audiorama

This past Monday, October 9, we celebrated Nanotechnology Day at the Los Porches del Audiorama Shopping Center, and it was a resounding success! The event is part of the FEnanoMENOSproject, a nanoscience fair for schoolchildren organized by the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (INMA) in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) – Ministry of Science and Innovation.

The event ran from 10 AM to 1 PM and saw the participation of 50 students from three different schools: IES Clara Campoamor Rodríguez, Colegio Nuestra Señora del Carmen, and Zaragoza SchoolHouse. They engaged in workshops on 'Self-Assembly of Structures' at Kikiriciencia, and 'What is Diffraction?' at Kumon. This allowed students to explore various concepts and applications of nanotechnology firsthand.

Additionally, shoppers at the mall during the event could enjoy the 'Nanotalent Show' live, a television show that scouts for the best supermaterial. Competitors included Graffi, Fullerene, Nanotube, Auri, and Magnetic Nanoparticle. Who came out on top?

Following this grand event, we’re continuing our work on the ninth edition of FEnanoMENOS, a flagship project in nanoscience and nanotechnology at the national level. We're taking steps to ensure another successful year for this initiative!
