STEAM Girls Day: making history in our community

History was made this past 14 October with the celebration of the first STEAM Girls Day in Aragón, hosted at the Faculty of Education of the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR).

Through games, challenges, and a variety of interactive activities, participants were able to learn about female role models in STEAM, as well as take part in hands-on workshops on gender and inclusion.

Its aim was to inspire, while also demonstrating that these disciplines are for everyone.

With this first edition setting a precedent, it is expected to continue in the coming years, coinciding with the International Ada Lovelace Day, a leading figure in the field of mathematics.

The sum of STEAM is only complete with them…

This initiative was a project led by UNIZAR, in which we had the opportunity to collaborate.
